Terms of Use

1. The service

Nexell (nexell.io) is a web tool that turns messy data (text, PDF, photos, Excel, CSV) into tables and does Excel work from your written requests (filtering, sorting, formulas, pivot tables, charts, formatting); it gives you the result as Excel (.xlsx), CSV, TSV, JSON or a PDF report. When you open an account, you accept these terms and the Privacy & Cookies notice — including the processing of your requests with the Anthropic Claude API — by ticking the consent box; the date and the text version you accepted are stored with your account.

2. Account

• The tool and the developer API are used with an account; the short demo on the home page needs no account.
• One account is used by one person; to work together, use the seats of the Team plan. You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys secret.
• You can close your account at any time with the "I want to close my account" link on your account page; if a subscription is still running, you first end it and close the account at the end of the period.

3. Plans and credits

• Free: 30 credits a month, up to 5,000 rows in one table, files of up to 10 MB, 1 user.
• Pro: US$7.50 a month; 500 credits a month, 100,000 rows, 50 MB, 1 user and the developer API.
• Team: US$24.50 a month; 3 seats, 1,500 shared credits a month, 200,000 rows, 100 MB and the developer API. Extra seats cost US$7.50 a month per seat; each extra seat adds 500 credits a month to the shared pool (up to 47 extra seats).
• Buying credits: US$0.02 per credit; at least 250 and at most 100,000 credits in one purchase. Purchased credits do not expire and are used after the month's credits run out.
• API balance: requests made with an API key are charged only to your account's separate API balance, never to your account credits. You can transfer account credits to the API balance or buy API credits directly; API credits do not expire and a transfer cannot be reversed.
• Development-phase pricing: while Nexell is in development, the prices above are half the list price (list price: Pro US$15 a month, Team US$49 a month, extra seat US$15 a month; US$0.04 per credit). A subscription you start during this phase renews at the same price for as long as it runs without being cancelled.
• Spending: converting to a table, a written command or an API request costs 1 credit for up to 1,000 rows, plus 1 more credit for every further 1,000 rows; every document page read (PDF, scanned page or photo) costs 1 credit; creating a quote or invoice document costs 1 credit. Downloads cost no credits; the Free plan allows up to 3 downloads a month, paid plans are unlimited. Commands that are not understood, failed jobs and empty results cost nothing; a command that changes your table is charged when you approve it.
• Monthly credits renew at the start of each calendar month and do not carry over. There are no automatic overage charges: when credits run out, new jobs that spend credits wait until your credits renew or you buy more.

4. Payment

We provide and sell Nexell; we take payment through Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy collects the payment, issues the invoice and collects any applicable taxes (VAT or sales tax), and its buyer terms also apply at checkout. Prices are in US dollars (USD), and the total including taxes is shown before you pay. Your card details never reach Nexell. Subscriptions renew automatically every month until you cancel. Price changes apply only to new periods and are announced in advance.

5. Cancellation and refunds

• You can cancel your subscription at any time with the "End subscription" button on your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
• There are no partial or full refunds for a period already paid for. Purchased credits are not refunded. API credits are not refunded either.
• This does not affect any mandatory rights you have under consumer law.

6. AI: the Anthropic Claude API

Nexell uses the Claude API of Anthropic PBC (United States) to understand your written requests and to read your PDF, image, Word or text files and turn them into a table.

• What is sent: your request text; for table files, the table's content or a summary of it; when you build a table from a PDF, image, Word or text file in the tool, the file's content, including the PDF or image itself. Personal data in text content is replaced with placeholders before it is sent; personal data inside PDFs and images cannot be masked. Your account details and IP address are not sent.
• At Anthropic: Anthropic processes this data only to provide its service to us; under its commercial terms it does not use it to train its models and deletes it within 30 days, except requests flagged for possible usage-policy violations, which may be kept for up to 2 years, or longer where the law requires.
• Nexell's role: the model proposes the table and formulas; Nexell builds and checks them with real Excel formulas and flags values that could not be found word for word in the document; nothing is applied in the tool without your approval. When the Claude API is unavailable, the job is handled by Nexell's own engine.

Do not upload documents containing personal or confidential information you do not want to share. By ticking the consent box you agree to your requests and documents being processed this way; details about your personal data are in the Privacy & Cookies notice.

7. Acceptable use

You may not open several free accounts or share accounts to get around limits, send automated requests that overload the service, upload harmful files, try to reverse-engineer the software or bypass its security, process unlawful content or content that infringes the rights of others, or make requests that break Anthropic's Usage Policy. For serious or repeated breaches we may suspend or close the account.

8. Your content and responsibility

• The content you upload and the files you produce are yours. You confirm that you have the right to upload the content and that you process any personal data in it lawfully.
• Nexell is a tool; you control its output. In the tool, every operation that changes your table is first shown to you as a preview and is applied only with your approval (in the API, you choose preview or direct apply in your request). Automatic reading, OCR and AI proposals may contain mistakes; checking the result before you use it is your responsibility.
• We try to keep the service running without interruption; maintenance or infrastructure failures may cause temporary outages. Liability that cannot be limited by law is not affected.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; we announce important changes on the site before they take effect and, where needed, ask for your approval again.
